There are many amazing wedding venues in the twin cities but since we had to start somewhere, here are a few of the top Minneapolis wedding venues we’ve had the pleasure of working with last year.

What makes a good wedding venue? That answer is very specific to the needs of each couple. However, we like venues that have a friendly staff, and either an amazing property or cool parks nearby for photos.

Since we’ve worked with so many venues and wanted to start with a small list, here are the top Minneapolis wedding venues we liked working with last year.

  1. Earle brown heritage center
  2. The Union Depot
  3. 7 Vines Vineyard
  4. Minnesota Boat club
  5. Green Acres event center

Earle Brown heritage center is connected to a hotel which is perfect for our couple’s and their guests. Their event space is large and simple, decked with good light installations. Their ceremony site outdoors is by a large fountain which makes for nice element for the ceremony and requires less decor to setup.
The grounds are also easy to wander around for photo opportunities. The staff has always been very friendly to us and we always love working there.

Next up, is the Union Depot. This venue showcases history and elegance in the cities. Great textures and photos spots within the venue, plus it’s super accessible to local parks such as Raspberry Island and others.

Out of the city closer to Stillwater is 7 Vines vineyard. While this venue isn’t in the main heart of the twin cities, it’s a quick drive and offers a fantastic vineyard location with great outdoor views. The property is large and is great for outdoor couple and group portraits while the inside has great spacing and amazing dance floor. The ceremony spot is a great compromise for all weather since it’s setup with a permanent cover that overlooks the venue.

Back in the cities right off the water and by Raspberry Island is the Minnesota Boat club. We loved the quick access to Raspberry Island and Stone arch bridge area. The ceremony site was small and nestled by the water. The staff was friendly and the dance floor was fantastic for dancing while the balconies offered a quick way to grab some air and take breaks.

And finally, one of our favorite wedding venues to shoot is Green Acres in Eden prairie. Every time we shoot there, our experience is amazing. The staff is always wonderful and organized. The space itself is super eclectic and romantic. There is also a field nextdoor for amazing photo outdoor nature opportunities.

Thanks to all the amazing venues! There are plenty more to brag about, and hopefully we can show off even more venues in a future blog.
