Great smiles and pure moments were captured during this Minnesota Boat Club wedding.

Small and quaint, Ebrahim and Diane planned their outdoor wedding near Raspberry Island in St Paul at a venue called the Minnesota Boat Club.

The day started separately as Diane got dressed with her bridesmaids while transcribing her vows into Farsi while Ebi made his way to the house to pick her up and take her away.

The first look was outside on their porch steps filled with pure joy and smiles and their neighbor even got a sneak peek. After the initial rush of emotion had settled, we all hopped in our cars and headed to the Stone Arch bridge and Father Hennepin park in downtown Minneapolis.

Since Ebi and Diane often frequented this area of town, they wanted to capture some moments there on the wedding day. They are also starting a new journey in California so we wanted to send them west with a few creative portraits that highlighted classic Minnesota for their new home.

After we skipped and hopped around St Anthony main, we settled in St Paul for the ceremony itself and were joined by their playful friends and family.

Acoustic guitar played by a family friend, ceremony performed by an Aunt, the wedding was custom fit for these two adorable souls. After the first kiss and first swing, the party began and didn’t stop. Kind words, epic laughs and memories floated about the reception and the dance floor stayed occupied with both Minnesotan and Persian dances.
