We are so in love with Anna and Dalton’s Capitol Room wedding. Not only was it intimate and beautiful, the whole affair was bolstered by great family and friends and an extra large wedding party who poured out the love all day! We can’t wait to share it with you 🙂
The Capitol Room is situated in the historic small town of St. Peter, Minnesota. It’s an all-in-one venue an hour and a half outside of the Twin Cities – the perfect spot for an intimate getaway wedding. It’s a truly beautiful venue combining touches of rustic grandeur and industrial detail to create an ambiance of class and charm.
A Capitol Room wedding includes a gorgeous bridal suite as well as a roomy groom’s suite complete with a foosball table!
Anna and Dalton’s first look was incredibly sweet. They wrote each other love letters and when they had their moment together, the camera lens definitely got a little misty! We’re big fans of first looks 🙂
Anna on their love story: “I was working out in the tiny gym in our apartment complex the same time Dalton was so I noticed him right away. Not because it was a tiny gym but because…HELLO cutie alert. I’m shy so I didn’t say anything. A couple weeks later we were at the same Halloween party and with some liquid courage one of us approached the other – I can’t remember details! I do remember thinking he was super cool drinking a Busch light with his lanyard hanging around his neck 🙂 We exchanged numbers and went for brunch a few days later.”
Dalton on their proposal story: “I had been communicating with [Anna’s mother] Mary about the details of getting the ring made for a couple weeks while I was home. A couple days before I proposed I was going to pick up the ring in the same town that Anna was shopping in. She had no idea I was there but I was so worried she would see my truck! It was the most nervous I had been in our entire relationship.
I decided to take Anna on a short hike – a little out of the blue looking back on it but it is where we are both happiest. Hearing her say yes was definitely the best feeling in the world especially with Pyro [one of their pups] there!”
We first met Anna’s mom Mary at Jill and Chas’s wedding. She recommended us to Anna, and we were so glad we could work with this awesome family again!
