This Summer MN vineyard wedding at 7 Vines was a perfect example of a quirky couple having an elegant wedding.
We knew Chris and Carolyn were going to be fantastic to play with on their wedding day because of their silly and amazing adventure session.
We’ve been to many weddings in our shooting career but there was a moment that caught my attention that I will always remember and reference as a sign of true-love.
Carolyn was dancing at the reception and accidentally slipped and fell on the floor; when many brides might take this as a huge faux-pas, Carolyn totally embraced it by laughing and
Striking a pose while lying down on the reception floor. Just when I thought the moment couldn’t get better, her new adorable husband rode in and fell on the floor beside her also striking a pose and
Showcasing the most adorable moment in couple wedding history! These are true relationship goals.
The day was filled with Sunshine that didn’t stop us from running around Stillwater and the Lift bridge for some fun shots. Earl and I then kidnapped the couple and drove them to their 7 vines venue where they had a first look with their pup Lilly. (Click here for tips to include your fur baby at your wedding) As you already know, weddings are always made better with having a ring dog, and Lilly totally nailed it!
The ceremony was made even better by having Chris’s brother officiate. I love when family or friends officiate the ceremony because it really does make it all the more special to the couple and the guest.
The speeches were filled with family and friends praising the couple and emphasizing how their quirkiness totally complimented each other and how sweet their love was. Their love for sci-fi, board games, and general nerdiness was relevant all throughout the wedding decor and Carolyn’s sister even bestowed light sabers to the couple to symbolize their new anniversary.
Like all weddings, the reception went on to have dancing and fun, but also had elements of guest singing, rapping, and best yet, the couples first Mario-kart match! The couple played well and I believe that Chris might have technically won the Mario match, but over all I think it’s safe to say that really they are both winners because they found each other. Cheers to Chris and Carolyn!
Thanks to all the vendors!
