An American Swedish Institute wedding – yay! We love love love this venue – the history, the aesthetic, the people. Combine that with Jenna and Jake’s big day, and all the class and meaning they brought to the venue, and we were in for a lovely day!
ASI was the spot of Jenna and Jake’s first date and they took their vows on the same day exactly two years later! You may remember this adorable story from their super cosy Library engagement session. We are excited to share their wedding day with you, and all the neat little details that made it special.

The lowdown on the American Swedish Institute!
Turn-of-the-century charm in a super accessible location just south of downtown Minneapolis, it is equal parts heritage and cultural foundation, art museum, tasty Fika cafe, and timeless historical mansion with beautiful maintained grounds and thoughtful art installations and statuary.
Whether you’re a history buff or a lover of the classic beauty of early 1900s architecture, an American Swedish Institute wedding in the historic Turnbald Mansion is the place for you.
A perk of an American Swedish Institute wedding – the detailing and architecture of the Turnbald Mansion! Much of the Mansion’s indoor and outdoor details are originals pieces by early 1900s local masons, craftsmen, and artists.
Here, Jenna and Jake take a moment to themselves in the Mansion’s solarium, crowned by stunning stained glass installations.
Jenna and Jake rocked Sebastian Joe’s ice cream for their wedding day with personalized spoons!

We loved their creative guest book idea – asking for bucket list ideas for their first year of marriage!
Yard games are always a hit at weddings – Jenna and Jake’s American Swedish Institute wedding was no exception! Their beautiful grounds have plenty of space for outdoor activities.
We hope you enjoyed Jenna and Jake’s American Swedish Institute wedding!
