Today, we’re sharing with you Erin and Andy’s Chankaska Creek Winery wedding – a travel-themed affair full to overflowing with the good cheer, love, and support of all their family and friends! These travel-loving lovebirds arrived at this auspicious day after a super romantic proposal on the island of Santorini in Greece, and even had a travel and adventure-themed engagement session with us at Minnehaha! We can’t wait to share all the cute touches that tell their jet-setting story in the pictures below.
But first! Let’s hear all about their adorable proposal in Andy’s own words:
A Chankaska Creek Winery wedding, a lovely hideaway venue set in the beauty of the Southern Minnesota River Valley just north of Mankato, MN, offers couples classic, rustic touches – like this beautiful bridal prep portrait among the wine casks in the winery cellar!
Erin’s man-of-honor, Jordan, looks on as her mom puts the finishing touches on her dress 🙂
Although they did not share a first look on their wedding day, Erin and Andy shared gifts and notes before the ceremony 🙂
The groomsmen getting into the pre-ceremony mood!
Erin and Andy had guests sign a personalized globe – a unique and awesome travel-themed touch! If you want more neat wedding ideas, check out our Pinterest board!
We loved capturing the emotion of Erin’s mother and brother as they came down the aisle!
In Andy’s own words: “Seeing her for the first time left me absolutely speechless and astonished. She was/is so beautiful.”
In front of family and friends, Erin and Andy shared their vows and their rings!
Now kiss!!
Erin and Andy’s family and friends were so full of good cheer and emotion, we couldn’t snap enough shots of their happiness!
“Erin’s favorite memory from the big day was seeing all of the love in the room and everyone’s happiness in general.”
After the ceremony, we snuck off with the couple for some romantic shots on the manicured grounds of the winery – a perk of a Chankaska Creek Winery wedding!
Erin and Andy had commemorative stemless wine glasses – adventure-themed and all! Finally a wine glass I won’t break 🙂
At the end of the night, we chased after the couple to snap some epic sunset shots – followed by even more epic dancing back at the party!
The evening wrapped up just as lovely as it started – with all the energy and good graces of the best guests and the cutest couple! And in the spirit of their love story, let’s hear it in their own words:
“Honestly, the whole day was so perfect. We couldn’t stop smiling.”
Us too 🙂
