Today, we’re sharing with you Erin and Andy’s Chankaska Creek Winery wedding – a travel-themed affair full to overflowing with the good cheer, love, and support of all their family and friends! These travel-loving lovebirds arrived at this auspicious day after a super romantic proposal on the island of Santorini in Greece, and even had a travel and adventure-themed engagement session with us at Minnehaha! We can’t wait to share all the cute touches that tell their jet-setting story in the pictures below.

But first! Let’s hear all about their adorable proposal in Andy’s own words:

“The proposal was in Santorini, Greece. I managed to keep her engagement ring hidden through 4 airports, 3 countries and a busy week in Athens. We were exhausted when we first arrived in Santorini, so I told Erin to enjoy a nap while I walked around and explored. This is when I met with the hotel/restaurant people and arranged the details of our proposal (flowers, photos, all the little touches).
A day later we put on our nicest outfit and prepared for dinner. I told Erin that we were going to enjoy dinner on National Geographic’s #1 rated balcony in the world. We arrived and were seated just before sunset. With my camera in tow, I told her I needed to go find ‘the perfect spot’ to get a picture of the sunset.
As I walked off the balcony I handed my camera off to the workers and made my way down a few flights of stairs to a private balcony overlooking the scenery/Caldera. In the meantime, the workers told Erin that she needed to come get me (she thought I was in trouble for being somewhere I shouldn’t be, lol) She walked down and around the corner of the stairway to find me waiting on the balcony. We had some private words and I asked her to marry me. Her answer ensured it was the perfect night.”
With that amazing tone set, let’s join Erin and Andy as they spruce up for their Chankaska Creek Winery wedding!

We loved capturing the emotion of Erin’s mother and brother as they came down the aisle!

In Andy’s own words: “Seeing her for the first time left me absolutely speechless and astonished. She was/is so beautiful.”

In front of family and friends, Erin and Andy shared their vows and their rings!

Now kiss!!

Erin and Andy’s family and friends were so full of good cheer and emotion, we couldn’t snap enough shots of their happiness!

“Erin’s favorite memory from the big day was seeing all of the love in the room and everyone’s happiness in general.”

After the ceremony, we snuck off with the couple for some romantic shots on the manicured grounds of the winery – a perk of a Chankaska Creek Winery wedding!

Erin and Andy had commemorative stemless wine glasses – adventure-themed and all! Finally a wine glass I won’t break 🙂

At the end of the night, we chased after the couple to snap some epic sunset shots – followed by even more epic dancing back at the party!
