Watson Block Wedding

Honestly, I could go on about the elegance of this Watson Block wedding, or the amazing playfulness that was Alex and Aaron, but the main highlight of the day was Earl breaking the law and running a red light to get us, the bride, the groom, lady of honor, and man of honor back to the venue in time for the ceremony.

It wasn’t as dramatic as it sounds and really had to do with the fact that the traffic light had stopped working while we were trying to all drive back to the Watson Block from St Anthony main, but none the less, Earl made an executive decision to pull into the turn only lane, pass a few cars, do a full and safe stop at the light before proceeding to run the red light all the while hollering, “By decree of the bride!”

Actually, the best part of this wedding might have been how easy Alex and Aaron were to photograph since they were both so clearly excited to get married, even allowing us to steal them and photograph them atop the city buildings with the amazing views … OR was in when the father of the groom was coerced into dancing on the table by the mother of the groom and Alex herself?

I guess it’s hard to pinpoint the best part of the day but I think you get the idea.

It really was a wild yet elegant wedding. The Watson Block is a single floor historic venue from 1902, filled with chandeliers and that urban style brick wall meets timber we’ve all come to love about the warehouse district of Minneapolis. It all matched the intimacy of the wedding which was a wedding party of two (plus Alex and Aaron) and the closest of the family and friends. The couple even had a family friend officiate as so many of our couples opt to do.

So enjoy, as we get to share with you Alex and Aaron’s Watson Block wedding!
