Last Friday’s same-sex fall wedding in Minneapolis was an abundance of joy and glee for everyone involved. Johnny and Geoff got hitched at the Profile event center and kept it quaint and simple. They each had one person on their side to stand up during the ceremony and had a friend officiate.
The benefit of having a smaller wedding with smaller wedding party sizes is that the wedding day is a little less chaotic and can be more couple centric.
Even though it was fall in Minnesota, the snow had already made an appearance and brought with it chilly weather. None the less, I dragged these two cuties to a park and we enjoyed running around and having fun documenting them. I love it when couples can just play and run around care free with the joy of knowing they will be soon married.
The ceremony was sweet as they stood underneath a home made arch dressed with flowers.
Emotions rolled in as they got to share their vows with one another and even had me tearing up a bit, which is the draw back of really getting to know our couples. We get so involved, that the ceremony chokes us up as well and it’s tricky to photograph with tears in your eye!
Then it was just an all out party with dancing and drinking! My two favorite things!
We are so glad to have gotten to know these two wonderful men and document their love story.
