There’s no better way to make a wedding all about you as a couple than hosting your own wedding at a family house/cabin by the lake. So that’s what Brittney and Drew did last weekend!

As you might have guessed, we are suckers for High-school sweet hearts, so here’s the adorable meet-cute from the couple themselves, “Drew played hockey and I would go to his hockey games with his best friends girlfriend (his best friend also played hockey). On January 25, 2011, Drew came over to my mom’s house before a hockey game and he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. It was the most awkward kiss (my first kiss) but the best kiss ever. After Drew left, I screamed so loud in my mom’s house and told my mom and jumped on her bed, we were so excited. Drew scored a goal that night at his hockey game and it was one of the best nights of my life.”

With a good start like this, you just knew the wedding was going to be adorable.

The couple decided to make their wedding venue special by hosting at their parents lake house in WI. There was an arch, lovely decorated tents with lights, a canoe with beverages and the best charcuterie board known to man.

Because it was their own property, they were able to have their two fur-babies in attendance! After the first look with their golden retrievers, they tried their best to fit them with their flower collars and get some puppy pictures.

The ceremony was short and sweet, since the couple decided to have their first look by the water and read each other their vows in private. They did have a love-lock ceremony wehre they locked their locks together and tossed the key into the lake.

After the ceremony, the ambiance and vibe was that of a lovely house garden party for family and friends that did end up turning into an epic scene for dancing and party times.
