There’s no better way to have a backyard summer wedding then to invite all of your friends and family from all walks of life to celebrate with you!
Luckily, Jill and Clay have a plethora of good friends and amazing supportive family able to travel north of the twin cities to partake in a lovely outdoor wedding.
Jill’s dad offered up his land to host the amazing event. The amount of DIY magic that was put forth in this wedding was absolutely amazing! There was a lovely self made arch way, an out door logged area for candles to add ambiance and many other details that suited the couple for the day. And I’m not sure who made the weather sunny and breezy but kudos to them because it was a dream.
One of my favorite parts of this custom made wedding was the officiant, Clay’s sister. Her words addressing the couple was tailer made perfect and adorable. She mentioned how when she was young for her birthday she had wished for a baby brother and had gotten her wish; the sweet words went on and ended with the fun fact that the next day after the wedding was her birthday again and that she had another wish for the couple. So freaking endearing! Even the day picked for the ceremony was in honor of Jill’s parents anniversary.
As you may know, Earl and I always strive to capture the real authentic moments of the wedding day. We wander around like sharks circling and listening and keeping an eye on the possibilities of belly laughs, tears, and general shenanigans. Luckily for this wedding, this is how the day went on. It was filled with custom made details and moments.
Sweet words, genuine hugs, and playful banter was the vibe for the day and we were so glad to be invited to capture it. Cheers to the happy couple!
