Lucy and Ryan wrote the next chapter of their story last weekend at this St James Hotel wedding in Red Wing, MN.

Once upon a time there were a couple of booking lovers immersed in their own worlds but searching for their person.

The couple’s story in their own words, “Ryan and I met on Tinder at the beginning of 2021. Ryan’s profile caught my eye thanks to him maxing out his allotted word count to squeeze every detail possible onto his page. My profile caught his eye after listing three people I like (Sirius Black, Leo McGarry, and Leslie Knope) and one I do not (no comment). Our first date involved grabbing a drink at Lake Monster Brewing and after the typical awkward small talk at the start we quickly found a connection over our love of books and decided to brave the weather outside to continue chatting, spending the next two hours dissecting the Harry Potter books and our favorite Harry Potter podcasts (yes, plural, Binge Mode!). We spent the next few dates going to new restaurants and breweries while discussing our other favorite nerdy things such as food, fantasy books, mysteries, and traveling…and also more Harry Potter/Binge Mode.”

Books is what brought them together and the theme of the wedding followed suit! Not only did we get some cool shots in the library of the St James Hotel, but the table settings were amazing. Each table had a stack of books hand picked and most ready by the couple, along with the pace cards that had quotes from books! These personal touches are what make a wedding day amazing.
