Rachel and Bryan had a Machine Shop wedding, which instantly makes me think of the song Machinehead by Bush which REALLY fits perfectly because Rachel and Bryan are serious music fanatics. So much so that during the ceremony, Rachel snuck in over a dozen song lyric references and even busted out into song for her new hubby.
We always tell couples to have their wedding reflect their tastes and that’s exactly what we got. The Machine Shop exist smack dab in the middle of St Anthony neighborhood which is already the perfect example of a modern/historic atmosphere. The Machine Shop itself is a historic machinery shop that has kept up with its original 1916 architecture while adding a hint of chic inside for it’s weddings.
As a photographer, I was really loving the abundance of natural light and white spaces which is not usually what you’d expect in a machine shop but there you have it! The textures and industrial aura of this place still make me giddy and I see why Rachel and Bryan decided to give their I do’s here.
Even the couple themselves matched the setting with their amazing tattoo sleeves, viking hairdo, and bad-ass attitude. And you know we ran around town St Anthony Main to have a mini adventure side-step from the wedding.
Everything after that was dancing and hugs, doughnuts and good music as all weddings should be.
Congrats on doing the damn thing!
