We generally always tell our couples to make their wedding their own.

Well, Bella and Chris went above and beyond and created a whole venue from scratch on their own land and property in Lakeville, Minnesota. 

We are talking, gorgeous pergola, pond with little bridge, barns for dancing, amazing drop lighting and more. Calling this wedding a DIY wedding doesn’t do it justice! The best part of having a backyard wedding, and this “backyard” was epic, is that all of those wonderful memories of family and friends of the day are locked into your home. I absolutely love that concept. 

And of course, no amazing wedding is complete without more doggos!

Bell and Chris have a dog of each size and personality formal known as Buster, Alta, and Daisy who really put their mark on the wedding. (Want to include your dog in your wedding? Check out this guide!)

In fact, my favorite memory from the wedding was when Bella was making sure that Daisy, the older Black lab, would be able to sit comfortably during the ceremony. She specifically said that Chris would most likely just stop the wedding mid-ceremony if his baby girl wasn’t able to watch them get married.

I’m so glad that Bella, Chris, and family pulled off such a fantastic wedding from their own visions and have remarkable memories to enjoy as they walk their fur babies around the property every day.
