Out in the country, past the barns and goats, Collette and Joseph had their wedding at the Almquist farm south of Minneapolis.

An Almquist farm wedding takes us back to the type of venue that we love in the summertime. Open fields and wide skies were the perfect scene for this couple. As I took the couple through the landscape and captured their smiles and kiddos running about, I thought about their origin story I had overheard during getting ready. During a blind date, Josephs friend sent a photo for Collette to see before hand and it was a nice picture of Joseph. However, Joseph thought his friend had sent his famous photo of holding a large plush banana that he was so proud of. So when Joseph reached out for a date, he worked up the courage to ask, “so, how do you like my banana?” Two kids and some years later, these two had the chance to get married under the trees by Collett’s uncle and then dance off into the sunset. How do you like THOSE bananas? The rest of the day was family reunion, kids entertaining themselves and the crowds, plus many warm smiles. It was a fantastic Almquist Farm wedding day.
