For those of you who may not know it, we here at Penny Photographics like to shoot in a photojournalistic style – meaning we like to capture people immersed in their lives, as if we aren’t even there! Courtney and Jake’s downtown St. Paul engagement was an adventure in just this sort of style – they let their lovable and goofy sides show and in the process, we got some wonderfully authentic and adorable shots.

Our landscape for the afternoon: Downtown St. Paul, a city with true aesthetic character! Easy to reach by almost all Twin Cities residents, it boasts great industrial shots with lots of texture and energy. Courtney and Jake weren’t short on energy, and we took the city by storm with them at the lead!

The afternoon was filled to the brim with laughter as they didn’t miss an opportunity to get a chuckle out of each other. It set an easy-going and carefree mood!
