What’s in today’s blog? Oh, just a few of our favorite things! Katie and John’s Lodi engagement session was loaded with:

• romantic woodland strolls
• epic overlooks in the Wisconsin countryside
• sunset shots
• and playtime with Remy the precious pup! 

Just to name a few 🙂 

These two lovebirds set the stage for their romantic adventure session just half an hour outside Lodi, in Katie’s hometown of Mazomanie, where they first met.

Their First Meeting (in John’s own words!): “We met at the local fair in Katie’s hometown. My aunt had called and said they needed extra help, so I came down and ended up helping out in the beer tent while Katie was working in the concession stand. At the end of the night, after the beer tent had shut down, I went over to help clean up, and that’s when Katie and I really talked for the first time. The next day, Katie sent me a Facebook message thanking me for helping out and asked if I wanted to get together sometime for dinner. Even after I showed up late for our first date, she still wanted to go out again.” 

Their First Meeting (in Katie’s own words!): “I was assisting his aunt in running the concession stand for the weekend of ‘Wild West Days’ in my hometown of Mazomanie, WI. John was recruited to help at the entrance to the beer tent, and after working late into the night, we talked briefly amongst the other workers, but I wasn’t satisfied with that, so I messaged him later on Facebook. After some small talk, we set up our first date: dinner at a small town bar (he ate a burger called ‘The Heart Attack’) and a walk around beautiful Indian Lake where we sat on the pier under the light of the moon.“

A Lodi engagement session sets you right in the middle of some really beautiful locations – like Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area and it’s scenic viewpoint!
