Adventure time, y’all! This time, we went all the way to Illinois. We whisked away with fun-enthusiasts Wes and Caitlin to lovely Chicago on one of the most beautiful days ever! It started with us trying wine at their place, then a stroll surrounded by amazing architecture, and then to one of their favorite restaurants for, you guessed it, more wonderful wine!  Oh and to top it off, an epic sunset boat ride to cap the day. If you’re even remotely interested in urban splendor and epic love, Wes and Caitlin’s Chicago on the lake engagement is the blog for you!

Ah, Chicago! You can’t go wrong. It serves up delicious food, stunning architecture, arts, culture, and natural beauty all in one package. Plus, it’s a totally reachable getaway from the Twin Cities – a six hour drive or a relaxing train ride through the the Wisconsin countryside. Wes and Caitlin wowed through downtown, strolled along the Chicago Riverwalk, and took a spin around Lake Michigan to catch the skyline at sunset.

These two lovebirds schmoozed their way across Chicago’s Riverwalk and settled in for some wine and good company at one of their favorite little Italian restaurants 🙂

The Riverwalk and its beautiful series of lift-bridges are an extra perk to a Chicago on the lake engagement.

Wes and Caitlin ended their Chicago on the lake engagement on the lake with the beautiful Chicago skyline in full sunset silhouette. Such a special day with some special people!
