We had the pleasure of traveling to Savannah Georgia for this adorable Gingerbread house wedding.
Savannah is a hotspot of elopements and small destination weddings. The southern elegance, magnificent oak trees , and gorgeous park squares set the romantic tone for sure.
So when Nikki and Steve were planning their wedding, they knew two things for sure; what person they wanted to marry, and that it would be in Savannah.
Nestled in the historic district of Savannah are old houses that showcase the architecture of the past. One of these historic houses dating back to 1899 is the Gingerbread house. It was the perfect venue to host the handful of guest invited to travel South to watch Nikki and Steve tie the knot.
To emphasize the love of Savannah, the couple even rented a trolly to take their guest on a field trip around the historic district and to the the top spots for photos which included, Forsyth park and Lafayette square. Both of which had beautiful scenery full of the oak trees and hanging moss topped off with romantic and epic fountains.
After our quick tour of the historic grounds, the wedding crew headed back to the Gingerbread house to say some vows, seal the deal, and eat some cake.
The ceremony was quick and quaint outside under a wooden trellis. Laughs were echoed, rings exchanged and Nikki and Steve finally got to be married after much planning and anticipation. Cheers to the happy couple!
