Addie and John chose the Mill Site in Anoka for their big day for the charm this laid-back venue offers.
To truly appreciate just how special and long-awaited this day was for this incredibly sweet couple, you have to hear their love story.
“We met when I was 15 and he was 16. We were both on the cross country team, and he used to play Twenty One Pilots on his speaker because he knew I was a fan. That’s how we started talking and just a month later, he asked me out on our first date to see a movie.”
Fast forward several years, and that shared love for music played a perfect role in the next chapter of their story:
“During the final song at a Twenty One Pilots concert, he got down on one knee and proposed. I had no idea it was coming, it was completely unexpected and absolutely perfect.”
Their day was filled with bright sunlight shining through the trees, casting a warm glow on the open lawn where the ceremony took place. Guests were seated under the wide Minnesota sky, with the Rum River quietly flowing in the background. Addie and John exchanged vows beneath a simple wooden arch adorned with greenery and florals, a nod to the venue’s natural surroundings and the couple’s love of nature.
Guests were overjoyed to witness the long-awaited nuptials of these high school sweethearts and they celebrated every moment with heartfelt enthusiasm throughout the entire reception all the way to the sparkler exit.
Cheers to the happy couple!
