Getting more insight into the Duluth wedding scene and its amazing wedding vendors, I reached out to Cassondra with Green Frame events to learn more about her and her services.
From Backyard Parties to My Own Business: How I Built a Career in Events
I’ve been planning parties since I was eight—Halloween bashes, neighborhood get-togethers, you name it. Hospitality runs deep in my family, and I caught the bug early. That creative spark followed me into photography, art school, and eventually into the service industry, where I learned the ins and outs of logistics, customer service, and high-pressure execution.
After managing events for Lucky’s 13 in Duluth, I realized I was already doing event planning—just without the title. When COVID hit, I lost my job but found clarity. I took online business classes, listened to planners on Clubhouse, and built a business plan from my patio. By November 2020, I officially launched—and haven’t looked back.
Why I Love Weddings
There’s a moment at every event where everything just clicks. The guests are happy, the couple is glowing, and the timeline is running on its own. That’s the flow state I live for. Whether it’s during cocktail hour or a quiet moment between the couple, it’s those connections and calm that make this work so rewarding.
Our Services
We offer:
- Event Management (more than just “day-of”—includes consults and coordination)
- Partial Planning (our most popular—collaborative, structured, and supportive)
- Full-Service Planning (for couples who want a hands-off approach)
- Elopements (intimate, intentional celebrations)
Even with our most basic package, we’re involved early and often. No last-minute handoffs. We align with vendors, build your timeline, and make sure everything runs smoothly—because that’s what makes the magic happen.
My Approach
I’m a Type A planner with a calm, direct approach. My style is clean, classic, and deeply personal. I don’t chase trends—I design events that reflect you. I’m here to guide, advocate, and problem-solve with empathy and intention.
Top Three Planning Tips
- Get your dress early—alterations take time.
- Book your planner before your venue—we’ll help you choose one that fits your priorities.
- Delegate wisely—involve family, but know that financial help often comes with opinions.
Planning with Purpose
I always ask couples: Why this wedding? Is it to celebrate a long journey, bring families together, or show off Duluth? That “why” drives the entire plan—from design to timeline. Because meaningful weddings aren’t just beautiful—they’re intentional.
When I’m Not Planning…
I ski, play tennis, and train for triathlons. I love live music, weird historical documentaries, and local art. Basically, I bring energy and curiosity to everything I do—including weddings.
