Today we get to share with you Katie and John’s Devil’s Head Resort Wedding!
I knew I was in love with Katie from the moment she told me about her obsession with Friends and it was further solidified by her passion for animals. However, this is about Katie and John and not how I fall in love with our amazing clients so here’s John’s take on their love story:
John, “ We met at the local fair in Katie’s hometown. My aunt had called and said they needed extra help, so I came down and ended up helping out in the beer tent while Katie was working in the concession stand. At the end of the night, after the beer tent had shut down, I went over to help clean up, and that’s when Katie and I really talked for the first time. The next day, Katie sent me a Facebook message thanking me for helping out and asked if I wanted to get together sometime for dinner. Even after I showed up late for our first date, she still wanted to go out again.”
Katie remembered the story pretty much the same way and on a bright summer day, they finally got to make it legit. Katie and John’s Devil’s Head Resort Wedding was right down the road from where we captured their adventure session a few months prior.
The resort was tucked away in the lovely countryside with the most adorable ceremony site among a little grove of trees. Family and friends all made the journey and stayed at the resort for the weekend which really capitalized on the intimacy of the wedding, even though it had plenty of guests.
While waiting around for the first look, I started talking to Katie’s dad and he told me about how he and Katie had always had a special bond, how he was most excited for her to get married and how happy he was that John was joining their family.
Honestly, this wedding was filled with sweet moments and kind words just like this, creating that happy wedding atmosphere of love and friendship that makes our job so awesome.
