Bride and Groom in front of fake town

On an exceptionally sunny day at Rivers Edge Commons Park, Ashley and Travis held a park wedding and an intimate DIY backyard reception with all their special people! Ashley looked stunning and emotions ran high as they shared their vows along the banks of the Mississippi River. Then we took on some small town adventuring for epic portraits in front of walls of greenery and art. At the end of the night, Ashley and Travis snuck off for a little alone time under the string lights!

There’s tons of perks to a park wedding! Not only is a park a naturally beautiful backdrop, a park wedding usually has tons of space and tends to be cheaper than your average venue (or sometimes even free!). Just make sure to plan for unexpected weather changes or the chill and heat of the seasons. Having a DIY backyard reception has tons of its own perks too!
