We love us some nature in our adventure sessions but there’s something so fun about going grunge for a change, which is exactly what we had the chance to do with Rachel and Bryan’s urban Minneapolis engagement session.  (Want more fun … Check out their wedding!)

The lovely Rachel informed us that one of their favorite bands Fever 333 just so happened to be playing at the Varsity Theater and asked if we could start there since she and Bryan are total audiophiles and frequent concert-goers. 

The historic Varsity Theater set the vibe of the whole day. The amazing textures and lights are to a photographer like peanut-butter is to dogs. Pop in a tattooed up, badass and adorable couple and you have a winning combination. 

After we took the idea of grunge and urban engagement photos to a whole other level, we decided to reward ourselves with donuts, coffee, and glam. Pink, glamorous, with a touch of art, is home to the Glam Doll Donuts on Eat Street. It’s most likely the spot the Pink Ladies in Grease would frequent after all that dancing and decided they needed another sugar rush. So of course after our well-deserved snack, we took some sexy and glamorous photos of Rachel and Bryan.  

To top off this urban city-style photoshoot adventure, we wanted to highlight the cool and creative murals all around the Twin Cities. Who knew Minneapolis had so many graffiti murals around?  Well, we hit up a few cool spots nearby Lyndale and beyond to round out the whole theme to the day. We wrapped up all in good time for Bryan and Rachel to end where we started and to see their favorite band Fever 333 play live.
