The Memorial Chapel itself, designed by Minneapolis-based architect Harry Wild Jones, was modeled after the other-worldly Hagia Sophia of Istanbul, Turkey, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You can read more about the Chapel and it’s design here.

Situated in Southwest Minneapolis, in the lovely Lyndale neighborhood, the venue is ideally located near the city and surrounding neighborhoods. It’s also close by some lovely photo opportunities for your couples or bridal portraits – just down the road from the Lyndale Park Rose Garden and between Lakes Bde Maka Ska and Harriet.

We had the opportunity to shoot Megan and Greg’s Lakewood Memorial Chapel Wedding, and enjoy the party with them at their Pinstripes Reception afterward!

Megan and Greg looked darling during their first dance, and then it was time to put on their bowling shoes and have fun!

By far one of my favorite dance photos of the reception – I can just hear the music! Beyonce’s Single Ladies, if you can’t tell by these ladies absolutely nailing the moves!

A little bocci ball to round out the evening.

We captured this last shot at the very end of the night. Megan and Greg took a few minutes to relax together and have a sweet moment out by the fire at Pinstripes. It was a perfect way to end their day. Congratulations you two!
