The McNamara wedding venue is an asymmetrical geode building formed of granite and steel creating a striking setting to have a wedding. The building itself, is an icon within the Twin Cities and provided some architecture glam to this fun-filled Minneapolis wedding.
The sharp lines of architecture blended with the care-free spirit of our bride as she twirled non-stop in her wedding dress. Since Melynda was a dancer, and we had already been privy to her and Jon’s playful spirit during their adventure session, we knew taking creative portraits on the wedding day would be just as exciting.
The day started off at the personal home of the couple and as I got to know the moms and wedding party, I remembered how amazing weddings are. The ability for us to get a personal glance into our couples’ lives as they are on a high of emotion and surrounded by love is a fantastic way to spend a day.
The couple had their first look outside of the McNamara wedding venue where they shared their excitement to finally be getting married after Covid had wreaked havoc on their wedding planning for over a year.
After all of the planning and re-planning, details and plans came together perfectly, even the blue skies and weather showed up.
After the much anticipated vows, the family and friends did what so many people have been waiting to do during this pandemic, which was to let loose and have fun!
Special thanks to the vendors!
