CeCe and Dan started with a family church ceremony and wrapped up their wedding with a Como Zoo Conservatory Wedding Reception in St. Paul!
The day started with the bride and her bridesmaids watching Pride and Prejudice while doing hair and makeup which honestly feels like the ideal prep ritual. Nothing like Mr. Darcy’s emotional repression to set the tone for an elegant day. Alas, Dan the Groom, was in touch with his feelings and showed them off fully during their first look outside the church.
Since fall in Minnesota is always chaotic, it’s hard to say what we will get to show it off but alas, there down the road, was one single tree still had all its leaves, glowing in fiery shades of orange and yellow like it had been saving the show just for us. I immediately dubbed it the Fire Tree and we absolutley took advantage!
After the ceremony, the party hopped in the party bus to escort them to the reception shenanigans.
The reception was at Como Conservatory, which is basically what would happen if a rainforest and an art museum had a very classy baby. The couple only had access to the Long Hall and the Fern Room, and honestly? That was more than enough.
After speeches filled with love, dancing filled with choreography, and a cat toss (a stuffed one, dont worry) the couple let me take a few pics in the fern room to show off their love of nature before I released them back into the wild that was there dancing reception.
Cheers to the happy couple!
