We went a little bit country last weekend for Amy and Sam’s Bloom Lake Barn Wedding north of the twin cities.
These two chose the perfect setting for their theme. Decked out in cowboy boots and hats, they took on the wedding day with friends and family and did the damn thing.
Not only did they sport the right type of attire for the theme, but the outdoor ceremony had the aisle runners of cow hides! Then, for their unity ceremony, the couple used their custom brand to actually on-site brand the cow hide! Honestly, any ceremony where the bride and groom get the opportunity to play with a blow torch and branding iron is a good time.
Not to mention my personal favorite part of the wedding which was them including their adorable fur-kids! Bacon and Grizzly who they also included in their engagement session were decked out and feeling fancy as they strutted down the aisle and socialized throughout the day with the lucky guests. Check out how to include pups in your wedding day here.
A long social hour followed where the couple rested their feet and had guests come to them to strike a pose for pics. Then it was just a party after that. Cupcakes, sparklers and dance moves oh my.
Cheers to the happy couple!

Top 5 reasons for a barn wedding:
- Rustic Charm: Barns offer a unique, cozy atmosphere that blends natural beauty with a touch of nostalgia.
- Versatility: They can be decorated in various styles, from elegant to bohemian, making them adaptable to different themes.
- Scenic Backdrops: Many barns are set in picturesque rural settings, providing stunning views for photos.
- Space: Barns often have ample room for both the ceremony and reception, accommodating large guest lists.
- Casual Vibe: The relaxed setting can help ease wedding day jitters and create a more intimate feel.
