It seems that for Minnesota couples planning their engagements and weddings, there is no shortage of weather anxiety no matter the season – will it snow, will it rain?? But in our experience, a little rain has nothing on the love and the togetherness of engagement adventures or wedding days. In fact, it more often creates an atmosphere for truly unique shots! Jamie and Charlie’s rainy day engagement was no exception π
Jamie and Charlie took Duluth by (rain) storm! They set about exploring the mystery and romance of Lake Superior’s North Shore, they strolled through a park under the intimacy of a shared parasol, and stole glances in the turn-of-the-century stylings of Duluth’s train depot. Their rainy day engagement highlighted the grace of summer showers bringing on the flowers of love, and we were lucky to document it!

One of our favorite shots of their rainy day engagement – Jamie and Charlie sharing an umbrella under the rod-iron hearts of this pilastered gazebo π
A rainy day engagement on the shores of Lake Superior bring with it rolling waves and misty coastlines.
For one of the last shots of the day, Charlie and Jamie completed the romance of their adventure by ducking out of the rain and into a miniature flagstone castle!
