When planning this Camp du Nord wedding, Sophina and Connor had the perfect vision.
Eight years prior, the two met while on vacation with their families at Camp Du Nord. They met, became enamored with one another and along the north shore fell in love. Many times they came back to their point of origin and had many adventures along the water and forest.
Thus, when they decided to get married, they knew the place had to be Camp Du Nord.
Planning a small intimate wedding or elopement sized wedding can still have it’s challenges and when you add weather into the equation, it can get even crazier! However, with the support of their friends and family and one minor hiccup of moving the day from a Monday to Sunday, these two had their dream wedding!
Sophina wandered through the forest to two large trees where Connor had been waiting. As we walked, she informed me that these two large beautiful trees shared a root system, so that if one died, the other would too.
So with the most romantic place imaginable, Sophina met Connor so they could share their vows alone under these two soulmate trees.
As I listened to their vows, I was smitten with these two as a couple. So adorable and sweet that I felt honored to be hearing them.
Afterwards, we wandered around to the ceremony site where they could recited their vows again among a handful of friends and family. Connor’s sister officiated and added tales of their childhood which made the ceremony even more special.
Hugs and laughs and sweet words later, we took sunset photos, had a quaint dinner and heard from their guest.
After the reception formalities were done, Sophina asked if she could play in the water and get photos, to which my heart leapt forward and my mouth replied, “hell yeah!”
These two were the prefect example of true and adorable love. I’m so happy we had the opportunity to capture it for them.
Cheers to you both!
