Cheryl and Adam’s winter wedding at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum was exactly what you’d hope for in a Minnesota winter celebration.

Winter weddings here can be a fickle thing, so when a couple chooses to fully embrace the season, I’m always excited to see how the day unfolds.
For Cheryl and Adam, the day was calm, crisp, and cold, but not so cold that it kept us from venturing outside for wedding portraits and family photos.

Despite the snow and ice outdoors, they chose to share their first look and private vows inside the indoor garden, a perfect contrast to the winter ambiance.

The ceremony took place in the Fireplace Room, surrounded by large windows that let the soft winter light pour in. To finish the day, the Arboretum grounds were still glowing with holiday lights, creating a magical winter atmosphere for guests and allowing for more winter creative portraits.

As this was a second wedding for both Cheryl and Adam, they knew exactly what mattered most: celebrating real love and genuine emotion, surrounded by family and friends who mean the most to them. Obviously, this is my bread and butter for weddings. Getting to immerse myself into their guests and lives in order to tell the their love story is why I enjoy documenting weddings and they gave me much to work with.
Cheers to the couple and scratching off another bucket list item off their life list.
